WebMar 23, 2024 · I install the xbox app and completely update it. I can click on any game to install and it gets tuck at 0% "preparing" or "downloading". If I cancel the game install, then it gets stuck at "cancelling". All other game platforms I use don't have this issue. I need to be able to install the games at the very least before when paying a subscription. WebRun (Windows key + R) > %AppData% > Up one level from "Roaming" > Local > Delete anything EA related / Electronic Arts Run EA App as Administrator The real culprit seems to be files in the Log folder in ProgramData, which requires the EA Background service process to be killed in order to delete.
